Opal Sexton Shrewsbury, 58, of Bud, passed away Friday, November 20, 2009, in Princeton Community Hospital following a short illness.
Born April 16, 1951, in Wyoming County, she was the daughter of the late Walter Hurley and Gracie Hunter Sexton.
Mrs. Shrewsbury was of the Pentecostal faith. She enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, watching television and her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Hammons and Lillian Scott and a brother, Hurley Sexton.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, McKinley Shrewsbury; a son, Walter McKinley Shrewsbury of Bud; a daughter, Jo Anna Mullins and her husband, Kenneth, of Garwood; two brothers, Butch Hunter of Garwood and Johnny Sexton of North Carolina; two sisters, Ruby Walker of South Carolina and Maggie Anderson of North Carolina; and six grandchildren.
